When we thought about writing a post with the Top 5 reasons why summer rocks, it almost seemed like a silly task. Do we really need to make the case for summer being awesome? Well, after a brief reflection, we realized that each season has its pros and cons. Of course fall means football season, but who likes raking leaves all weekend. Sure winter gives us an excuse to stay holed up in our mancaves but who enjoys shoveling 2 feet of snow. Spring is the start of baseball, but it seems like it rains every other day. Enough bringing down summer’s lesser brethren, here are the top 5 reasons we love summer at the Mancave Daily.
5. Going to the Beach
In the end it really all comes down to where we can see women in bikinis. Though we’ll also admit that the beach is not only a haven of hotties, but it’s quite relaxing. Plus, you get a healthy dose of Vitamin D. Just don’t forget that sunscreen!
4. Hitting up a Baseball Game
Sure going to a football game can be fun, but let’s be honest; we’d rather watch the game from the comforts of our own home then brave the frigid temperatures of early winter. When it comes to baseball though, nothing quite beats a relaxing day at the ballpark. You can watch the game, have a few cold ones, and enjoy the nice summer breeze. Don’t forget to have one of those ballpark franks.
3. One word: Beer
If beer were given to a particular season it would have to be summer. We’ll drink beer no matter the season, but at the very least when you drink brews in the hot summer sun you feel like you’re doing the beer its due justice.
2. Backyard BBQs
Along the same lines of drinking beers in the summer sun, there is no better season for grilling than summer. The great thing about the summer season, it provides an instant excuse for inviting friends and family over for a little backyard BBQ. It’s a great time to fire up the grill and pull out those BBQ recipes you’ve been holding onto all winter long. Don’t forget the beer.
1. Girls in Bikinis!
It sounds like a summer cliché, but we love nothing more about the summer months than the myriad of opportunities we encounter to see women in bikinis. While it’s never polite to stare, there is some scientific evidence that it is indeed healthy to stare. Just don’t be a creep about it!
