There’s something sexy about an older woman who looks good and knows it. Lucky for us, Hollywood is plentiful with such females (probably because they’re rich enough for the GOOD plastic surgery). This exercise is to identify who we think are the hottest actresses over the age of 40. It was hard enough to stop at just five hotties, but we feel like we paired them down to the cream of the crop.

5. Monica Bellucci (46)
Maybe best known for her role in Shoot ‘Em Up, this Italian actress may not be the most popular name on this list, but she certainly has the look to hang with the best of them. The great thing about the Internet is that a woman’s good looks will never go unnoticed, which is why you see so many fan-sites dedicated to the Ms. Bellucci.

4. Marisa Tomei (46)
Ms. Tomei made a big splash as the sexy, street-talking Mona Lisa Vito in the film My Cousin Vinny. From there, she fell off the map a bit, becoming somewhat of an afterthought. That was until 2008, when she was casted to play a hot older stripper in The Wrestler. Since then we’ve vowed to never take her for granted again.

We’ve never overlooked Ms. Hayek. Not once. Since the film Desperado we’ve always had a thing for her. And we even continued to stand by her when she played Frida Kahlo in the 2002 film Frida, uni-brow and all!

Ms. Lane’ got that “hot mom from next door” type of look. Still, she manages to look super sexy as she continues to age so gracefully. She is one hot, classy cougar.

In order to be the best, you have to beat the best. Still, no one has managed to find a way to beat Halle Berry at her own game. The thing about Ms. Berry is that she’s not only hot, but she’s so very talented. She also ages flawlessly. Truth be told, it might be another decade before someone knocks her off the list of the hottest actresses over 40.
