When a mutual friend first introduced me to model  Leilani Dowding, I must admit I found her rather jaw-dropping. And one look at her bikini pics made me spit out my bagel mid-bite and start doing push ups! But I found her to be friendly, outgoing and very down-to-earth– despite her out-of-this-world looks. Yeah, instant girl crush—can you blame me? She’s smart and sweet and shhh… a soon-to- be reality show star. For now, that’s a bit of a secret, but I can say you will be seeing a lot more of this beauty on television very soon.

So here’s the scoop: She’s a half British/half Filipino model living in LA. Former Miss Great Britain, Leilani took part in Miss Universe, and has travelled to Bosnia, Kosovo. Iraq and Cyprus on morale-boosting trips for British troops abroad. She’s the face of Noah Becker (Borris Becker’s son)  “Fancy Clothing” swimwear line – also owns an online clothing line called Leiluna Collection. (Seriously, her dresses are fierce!)

I caught up with Miss Dowding and asked her some questions that I thought you’d want to know. Here goes.

Are you single?  Yes

What do you look for in a guy? Really.  First looks– I’m attracted to tall handsome men.  Second, ambition and success. And when i say success i don’t define it by money, I define it by achievements and reaching goals. After that I want someone with shared interest, similar values good sense of humor supportive and all the usual stuff.

What’s the worst pick up line you ever heard? I’ve heard so many.  I hate cheesy set lines.  It’s just better to give me a compliment or start a conversation naturally. If i am interested I will want to keep the chat going.

What about the best pick up line?  What’s the time?  It just naturally led to a conversation.

What do you like to do in your spare time? When I’m not catching up on sleep. I love to go paddle boarding and hiking with my three dogs

Okay, give me one really cool fact about you:  I’m not actually that cool. I’m pretty geeky.

What’s the craziest thing you have done?  I walked on the wings of a bi plane for the British version of “Celebrity Fear Factor”

Are people usually blown away that you own your own clothing line? What’s their reaction? I think they expect most models just model and that’s the best it will get. They are really pleasantly shocked when they see the clothes.

Where do you hope to be five years from now?  Five years from now I’d like to have a family, and have other people working for me on my clothing line

What’s the best advice you can give a guy about how to treat a girl? I say always treat a girl with respect any girl who wants a man to treat her badly isn’t really into the man–just the drama

Who is your celeb crush? Mark Sanchez, NY Jets QB

(Oh, I gotcha, guys!) What are you wearing right now? A tank and little boy shorts.
