You’ve probably seen Shawn in one of the countless television shows and movies that’s appeared in, including one of my all time favorite movies, The Faculty. Be on the lookout for him in the upcoming CBS series Reckless. Here’s what Shawn had to say:

1. So what are you up to right now?

Getting ready to start filming a new series for CBS called Reckless. I’m excited to see people’s reaction to this show, especially those who are used to seeing me on Southland because these two worlds are wonderfully disparate. Sammy was an inherently decent guy in contrast to my character on Reckless who’s deeply disturbed but in an enjoyable way. He’s dirty, f***ed up and you instantly loathe him. You hate him in a way that you want to see what he’s going to do next, then you get a glimpse of how corrupt he is and you detest him a little more…plus his name is Terry which is enough to hate him before you ever even see his face…but on the bright side he has phenomenal triceps and great hair. The hair and triceps aspect are just a sampling of the bold qualities that I brought to the character and weren’t even in the script! But that’s just the kind of dedication you get when you hire a pro like me.

2. You played a murderer on Dexter. Be honest, have you ever committed a murder?

Things I’ve murdered from worst to best:

  1. Triceps Machine
  2. The grammar in this interview
  3. This joke format

3. Let’s get serious for a minute, could Space Jam ever actually happen?

People forget that Bugs Bunny’s prior two films bombed at the box office; thus, the decision to enlist the biggest star in the world, Wayne Knight, payed off in huge dividends.

4. Without fear of judgement, what are your top five favorite movies of all time?

Without fear of judgment? That’s easy.

  1. Outside Providence *
  2. Alpha Dog *
  3. The Faculty *
  4. The Cooler *
  5. Dallas 362 *
* I am one of the stars of this film

5. Can you describe the last three picture messages you’ve received on your phone?

Why describe when I can show you?

This is the world's most baffling rebus.

6. What’s the strangest celebrity encounter you’ve ever had?

This is the first thing that popped into my head. Filming one of the biggest shoot-out scenes in Public Enemies at the end of a very long night-shoot, Michael Mann asked Johnny Depp (who was publicly unhappy about the long nights and endless takes) if he minded doing “one more take.” Johnny Depp’s response to the iconic director of some of my favorite films like ManhunterLast of the MohicansHeat and The Insider was so f***ing classic that I typed it into my iPhone.

Michael Mann: “You mind doing one more take?”

Johnny Depp: “It’s not f***ing Shakespeare. It ain’t poetry and it’s not f***ing Chekov, man. It’s a gangster movie. I don’t care if you want to shoot pictures of polar bears masturbating in the sky… just line up the shot and do it.”

7. Are there any TV shows you’re keeping up with right now?

Shows that I keep up with starting with the best:

  1. Southland *
  2. Game of Thrones
  3. Breaking Bad
  4. Homeland
  5. Mad Men
* I am one of the stars of this show

8. Be honest, do you think you would survive a Saw movie?

I hate to disappoint you, Rob, but I’ve never seen a Saw movie because I’m way too busy being an award-winning respected actor.

9. Who are some of your favorite accounts on Twitter?

Seriously, there are a handful of s***ty tweeters that I follow but I’m afraid to unfollow them because they seem really unstable and like the kind of people that would totally notice, maybe even come after me… so I keep following those particular accounts out of fear, but for the most part everyone else I follow is rock solid.

But…

These 10 stand out because not only are they intelligent and funny but I give extra credit for consistency. No special order here: @IamEnidColeslaw, @thesulk, @filthyrichmond, @nachosarah, @capricecrane, @burntmybagel, @duplicitron, @thefearboners, @Billmc7, @sbchbum

10. What’s your favorite thing about me?

Your Twitter account. Number 11 with an Air Bud bullet: @Robfee
