Fellas, don’t you hate having to skip workouts because of a visit from your monthly friend? No, of course you don’t, because that’s not something that happens to you. But apparently it does to women — and who can blame them? Menstruation is like getting sucker-punched in the gut every 30 seconds for a week while you have the flu. Or at least, that’s what it feels like according to our girlfriend (she’s Canadian, you wouldn’t know her. We met at summer camp and–you guys, we’re serious–she’s totally real, so don’t make fun).
Fortunately, there’s a workout that capitalizes on all those ill effects, and it’s all thanks to Syd Wilder and her personal trainer Dave. We might not be able to relate to the agonies of exercise when your own body’s at war with you, but we appreciate a responsive workout like this one. This is exactly like how we adjusted our gym plan to account for the fact that we can’t bench more than 15 lbs.
