It’s not easy being Batwoman.

Kate Kane, distant relative to Bruce Wayne (and yes, they know it rhymes, you’re only the 1,00th person to point that out) up and decided to kick some ass as Batwoman one day, and it’s not like Batman’s made it easy for her. You want to operate in his city, you do it his way, by his rules, and no, he’s not going to train you. Figure it out for yourself. It’s what Gotham vigilantes call a “Bat-ch-22.”

But despite proving herself the two have butted heads, and her personal life is no easier than her vigilante one…maybe even more difficult, since she can’t punch her problems away. With her fiancée tied up in a messy divorce back in Metropolis, the red-haired avenger of the night finds herself running into an unwelcome ex who wants to dig up the past…

Frankly, we're surprised Gotham doesn't have way more vampires.

You wouldn't believe how many splash pages are simultaneously smash pages.

This is Gotham, so let's safely assume the kid in the bear mask is actually a homicidal freak in the middle of a caper.

"Bling? Kate, do you know what I did to EARN these medals? I got this one for rochambeau-ing Gorilla Grodd."

Be good to your long-distance significant other, because there's always someone waiting to take them off your hands, kids.

Sharpen your fangs and sink ‘em into Batwoman #32, out this Wednesday!

Brendan McGinley is editor round these parts when not writing comics or Cracked columns. You can say a neighborly hello to him on Twitter @BrendanMcGinley. You’d probably enjoy his supervillain comic Heist, if you’re a fan of tarnished souls and brutal retribution.

Down we go.

If you’re comparing yourself to WWII Germany, you might be the bad guy.

Brendan recently interviewed the Batman Eternal creators about how much fun they’re having and picked Pete Tomasi’s brain about Gotham.

Batman does what Batman wants.

They’re here to make a kickass Batman, and “Everyone Else is Boned.”
